Samsung has launched a Windows Mobile 6.5 handset in co-operation with Giorgio Armani and although it looks rather interesting, the big question mark is going to be how much Samsung is intending to charge for it.
Considering LG’s over priced and under specified Prada handsets, we were hoping that Samsung would price its new Armani handset at a more reasonable level, but alas, at €700 ($1030) it’s anything but cheap. Design wise it doesn’t look that spectacular and the bronze/gold trim around the edges makes it look slightly tacky in the press photos.

The handset has a four row QWERTY keyboard which means that the number row is missing and has instead been doubled up on the top row of keys. The 3.5-inch AMOLED also has a fairly large bezel and no resolution was announced, but it will hopefully offer WVGA resolution as this seems to start becoming the norm on high-end Windows Mobile devices.
Other features include a 5 Megapixel camera, 8GB of internal storage memory, a GPS receiver, a micro SD card slot and what appears to be a combined finger print scanner and optical touch pad. The screen can be tilted at a 30 degree angle which makes it easier to view when typing messages.
