It’s always good to arrive a day or two early when it comes to large trade shows and we arrived in Barcelona a few days ago already, as we intended to spend a few days in this tourist destination ahead of the Mobile World Congress for a few days holiday. Earlier today on our way around the city on the Metro we spotted a group of people carrying around large, blue, semi-open boxes advertising Samsung’s press event at the Mobile World Congress.

We’re still no closer to knowing exactly what Samsung will be announcing at the Mobile World Congress, except that it’s the next generation Galaxy S smartphones and the company is set to have a press event on Sunday night (yes, that’s before the show starts) which was clearly indicated by the text on the blue boxes. The boxes also had the slogan “Something big is coming” and there’s a website that goes along with that slogan which can be found here. With the boxes labelled D-2 we’re sure they somehow tie in with the website that also lists D-2, as well as D-1 and D-day at the top. Sadly we didn’t have the opportunity to follow the Samsung box carries when they got off the Metro, but we did snap a few shots of them for your viewing pleasure. As you can see, we weren’t the only ones busy taking pictures either.
