It appears that the LG Etna, or GW620 as it’ll be officially known as, was closer than expected after last weeks leak. The press photo’s makes the GW620 look even better than the picture of the early handset leak and we can’t but feel a bit sorry for the Moto CLIQ.
So far LG hasn’t been very forthcoming with the specifications, as the press release only states that the GW620 will have a 3-inch full touchscreen display and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It seems like the keyboard will be available in a wide range of colour options, as the leaked prototype had a black keyboard and the press photo’s are showing models with both light blue and silver keyboards.

We do of course have some vague specifications from the earlier leak, such as a 5 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, but it doesn’t really make this handset justice. From what we can notice from the press photos there’s also a 3.5mm headset jack and the USB port seems to be of the new micro type rather than the more standard mini USB connector.
The keyboard looks very good and it has a well thought out layout with cursor keys and a full number row for those that feel that these are key features of a Smartphone keyboard. The handset also seems to have a top mounted power button and a pair of volume control keys just below the USB port.

The press release states that LG is expecting the GW620 to be on sale in selected European markets by the fourth quarter of this year, for a yet undisclosed price. You can find the press release here
