thumb_hp_dm3_1 HP has been quite busy in terms of launching new products today and there are still got more notebooks to take a closer look at. The Pavilion dm3 is a model that we were already aware of, as some details leaked ahead of the launch, but not enough to spoil at least some of the surprise.

The Pavilion dm3 which is a consumer model and it will not only be available with an AMD Neo SKU, but it will also be available in an Intel Core 2 Duo SKU. The AMD version will use an AMD Athlon Neo X2 L335 dual core processor which is clocked at 1.6GHz and has 512kB of L2 cache, while the Intel version will use the Pentium SU4100 processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz and has 2MB of L2 cache. The AMD SKU will come with the M780G chipset while we presume the Intel version will use the GS45 chipset.

HP has gone for a chicklet style keyboard on the dm3 and the touch pad supports multitouch and gestures. Price wise you're looking at an affordable $550 (€376) for the AMD SKU, while you'll be paying $650 (€445) for the Intel SKU which is still pretty reasonable.
