Dell has started to offer a range of upgrade options for its Inspiron 11z 11.6-inch CULV notebook, including a much wanted dual core CPU option, as well as a range of different colour options for the lid.
The CPU upgrade option will be limited to the Intel Pentium SU4100, but this is still a huge step up from the Celeron 723 processor which was the only option before. The Pentium SU4100 will be joined by the Celeron 743 as the new base offering, although this is a modest upgrade over the Celeron 723.
Both the Pentium SU4100 and the Celeron 743 are clocked at 1.3GHz (the Celeron 723 is clocked at 1.2GHz), but the Pentium SU4100 has 2MB cache over 1MB of the Celeron 743 and of course that important second CPU core.

Dell is also offering memory upgrades of up to 4GB and larger hard drive options of up to 320GB. The new lid colours include Alpine White, Ice Blue, Jade Green, New Cherry Red, Passion Purple and Promise Pink.
Currently it seems like the new customization options haven’t gone live on Dell’s website, but according to the Dell blog, it should be happening shortly.
