Asus has leaked all the details of its new Eee PC Sirocco, also known as the Eee PC 1015PW less than a day ahead of the official unveiling. It’s indeed a new “fashion” netbook, although this time somewhat more tasteful than Asus’ last attempt with the Karim Rashid Collection.
So what are we looking at? Well, the Sirocco will be available in three different colours, purple, gold and pink, although in all three cases fairly tasteful shades as it goes. The lid is covered in a “wave” pattern which should prevent it from collecting fingerprint smudges.

On the hardware side of things it’s a fairly typical netbook with a 10.1-inch screen with 1024×768 resolution, a dual core Atom N550 processor, 1GB of DDR3 memory (upgradeable to 2GB) and a 250 or 320GB hard drive. Asus has also kitted it out with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and rather unusually for a netbook, Bluetooth 3.0.

Other features include a 0.3 Megapixel webcam, a D-sub connector, three USB 2.0 ports, a 10/100Mbit Ethernet jack, a pair of audio jacks and an SD card reader. The Sirocco weighs in at 1.25kg with a 6-cell battery and it will shop with Windows 7 Starter Edition as well as Asus Express Gate Cloud quick boot OS.
