Asus is set to launch yet another Eee PC model this week called the Sirocco. It’s something of an enigma as too what it is at the moment, as we haven’t managed to track down any details of such a model and it’s not something Asus was showing off at CES.

All we have to go by as of right now is the invitation to the launch event that we were sent today which mentions the model name with the subtitle “making waves” which really could mean anything. Presumably the Eee PC Sirocco will have some kind of textured surface, judging by the background of the image that shows waves in a dessert. We’ll be at the launch event on Wednesday and we’ll bring you the full details then.

Based on pure speculation we’d hope for an AMD Brazos powered Eee PC, but considering that so far Asus has only had Intel processors in it’s Eee PC range of products, we don’t have any high hopes. That said, Asus’ recently announced Eee Tablets features Nvidia Tegra processors, so nothing is impossible.
