And we're back...

Sorry about the absent week of content, but I've been busy trying to make some money.

This site is going to end up being more of a hobby than a job for the time being, but I'm going to try to update it more regularly.

A lot of people promised to help out with content, but alas, this hasn't really happened, so we'll have to take things one step at a time.

In the mean time you can check out some other computer related news and stories that I write for SemiAccurate on a daily basis.

Getting back on track...

Ok, things are starting to get back on track and we're going to try to get more content out.

Anyone who says moving house isn't stressful should try it, as I've spent far more time on sorting things out than I expected and this is the main reason why the site has suffered in the past week.

However, things are mostly done by now and the focus is going to be on more, faster and better content.

Cheers

Lack of updates

Sorry about the lack of updates for a few days, but I've been busy moving house and had no-one to cover for me.

But not to worry, we're back in action and I've just posted a hands on video of the new Albatron 42-inch optical touch monitor which is pretty impressive.

Tomorrow we should hopefully have some contend from the Taiwan Broadband show, so make sure you check back with us and again, sorry for the lack of updates over the past few days.

Behind the scenes work

Sorry about the lack of news today, but we've been busy doing a lot of work behind the scenes today.

We've added related articles, so all of our articles will have a selection of links below the comments that allows you to find similar articles on the site.

Hopefully this is a feature that many of you were looking for and although the location on the page isn't ideal at the moment, this will have to wait a little bit until we can get it fixed.

Please don't hesitate to get in touch with us if there are any new features you think we should add to the site.

First down time

Well, it seems like the server that the site is hosted on got attacked by a DDOS so we went out of action after only two weeks online.

Luckily it didn't take too long for the server to get back online again and we can only apologize for this and hopefully it won't happen again, but this is the kind of thing that you have to live with when you use shared hosting.

Hopefully we'll grow quickly and be able to move on to some dedicated hosting in the near future.

Slow start this week

Sorry about the slow start this week, but I was attending the launch of the Microsoft LifeCam Cinema and Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000 today.

We've got a video from the event that will be posted shortly and we hope you'll enjoy it.

As we're only a small team, with me doing most of the news postings, the amount of content on a day when I'm not around is going to be fairly slim.

Hopefully this won't be too much of an issue in the future, but to be able to resolve the problem we need to find some sponsors/advertisers and these things take time.

In the meanwhile we hope that you will still keep checking back with us, as we promise to do our best to have new, exciting content on the site every day.

First blog post

So, the first blog post on mobile+notebook.

Well, first of all a quick comment on the name of the site, it's not easy finding a good domain name these days, so mobileandnotebook.com had to suffice, however, our designer came up with such a great logo that we've ended up being mobile+notebook instead and I hope this won't cause too much confusion.

The site has now been up for about a week and a half and we've already gone through a couple of major overhauls of the design and we're still working on fixing a few things, so please be patient with us.

It's not as easy as it seems to start a technology site and there's a lot of work being put in to this site. We're also going to be bringing you some content of our own very shortly and we should start having reviews in the near future as well, it just takes a little while to source samples when you start afresh so to say.

We should also have some editorials and opinion pieces in due time and we have a lot of other things planned, it's really just a matter of time and money.

Hopefully you like what you've seen so far and we're going to try to bring you as much content as possible about mobile computing.

If you've got any comments or want to get in touch with us for any reason, you can either do so on twitter @mobilenotebook or email us at info(at)mobileandnotebook.com
