The wait appears to be finally over for those that have been waiting for Intel’s new mobile Sandy Bridge processors to launch, well, at least as long as you live in Taiwan as Acer has started selling its Aspire 8950G which packs some serious hardware. Not only does it have a Core i7-2630QM processor, but it also has an AMD Radeon HD 6850M graphics card which means this 18.4-inch monster should offer near desktop performance.

Today there are two major manufacturers of mice that are sold worldwide, namely Logitech and Microsoft. The two companies are competing with each other to see who can outdo who by coming up with the most innovative, feature rich or simply just unusual products. Here’s a quick hands on video with the three new notebooks that Asus launched today, namely the U36, U31 and U41. The U36 is a thin and light model that we wrote about yesterday, while the U31 is a slightly chubbier sibling and finally the U41 is a 14-inch version with a built in optical drive.
Despite the launch not being until tomorrow, Asus’ new thin and light U36 notebook has already tipped up on the web, at least in Taiwan. An online retailer jumped the gun and unveiled the details of Asus’ 19mm thin notebook that still managed to cram in both a 35W CPU and a GeForce 310M discrete graphics card.

Today we take a quick look at some upcoming notebooks from MSI, namely the new FX and X series. All three of these new models feature Intel Core i processors, although they all target quite different market segments.
There’s no denying that Apple’s iPad have been quite successful so far, but it has annoying little problem, it can’t be charged by the USB port on your PC. Well, at least that was the case until today, as Gigabyte has a solution that will allow you to charge your iPad from selected motherboard models.
